A planning desk, not an authority.
Civic Magazine is a collection of six personal planning tools for community life. Use it to sketch an event, think through volunteer capacity, organise a meeting, keep your own issue notes, shape a local outing or outline a newsletter. “Civic” here means the everyday places and activities people share. This website is not a government service.
What you can expect
Each tool starts with details you enter. It arranges those details into a clear result and, where relevant, performs simple arithmetic. The method appears on the tool page so you can understand what has been calculated, what is only an assumption and what still needs checking.
No sign-up or payment is required to use the six planners. Results are available immediately in the page. You can print a plan, save it through your browser’s PDF option where available, or download a plain-text copy.
Built to leave decisions with you
The tools do not make bookings, recruit volunteers, send invitations, publish newsletters or submit reports. They do not look up live facts or verify the information you type. A clear outline is useful, but it is not proof of availability, safety, permission or exact cost.
A smaller data footprint
The planning code runs in your browser and does not send your inputs to the site’s server or save them in browser storage. Hosting systems still process ordinary page requests. Files you download and information you choose to share are separate from the site. Read the Privacy Policy for that distinction.
Use it as a first draft
Start with the facts you already have. Leave optional details blank instead of inventing them. Review the result, check important details independently, and share only what other people need to see.
