PLAINLY EXPLAINED
Behind the result - No mystery in the method
Effective shift hours = shift length − break minutes ÷ 60. Team capacity for one shift round = volunteers × effective shift hours. Shift rounds needed = workload ÷ team capacity, rounded up. Average work per person = workload ÷ volunteers. A round assumes every listed volunteer is available for a full shift.
The planner reports whether one round covers the entered workload and the remaining workload or spare capacity. It lists your roles without assigning people. These are idealised person-hour estimates: skills, fatigue, supervision, equipment and availability can change what is achievable. It does not recruit or notify anyone.
Across every tool: it does not submit a complaint to any body, does not fetch, validate or confirm bookings, live prices or exact rates, does not fetch live data, and does not store data on a server. All planning inputs come from you and remain in this browser tab unless you choose to print, download or share them. Blank optional fields are omitted. Text is displayed literally, not interpreted as HTML.
A FEW USEFUL ANSWERS
Before you go
Does the tool assign or contact volunteers?
No. It estimates capacity from a headcount and your workload. Role names remain a simple list; you arrange participation outside the tool.
What does a shift round mean?
One round means every available volunteer completes one shift with the entered break. Two rounds require two such commitments; they are not automatically scheduled or promised.
Can I print a role brief?
Yes. Add the roles and your coordination notes, generate the plan, and print or download it. There is no messaging or recruitment function.
Does the site store my details?
The planning code does not send or save your inputs to a server or use browser storage. They remain in this page’s memory until cleared, reloaded or closed. A browser may independently restore form values. Downloads, print queues and files you share are under your control.
